Rastafari Time (Errol Holt)

 amazon | yodobashi

Ohm Records is proud to present the re-release of one of the greatest roots reggae albums of all time. Errol “Flabba” Holt’s Rastafari Time. Originally released in 1975 with only 100 original copies pressed.

Errol Flabba Holt has revolutionized the sound of reggae music over a span of four decades. Not only is he one of the most accomplished bass guitarists in reggae music, but also a prolific vocalist. Growing up in west Kingston Flabba began his musical career in the 1960’s during the ska movement. He then moved on to become a member of the Itals band and also a regular musician for Rupie Edwards owner of the Success Records label. He later worked with record producer Henry “Junjo” Lawes creating songs for artists such as Gregory Isaacs, Michael Prophet, Freddie McGregor, and many other legendary musicians. Formerly an integral member of The Morwells and one of the founders of The Roots Radics Band that massively advanced the roots reggae sound of the 1980’s. Rastafari Time and Visions Of Africa were the only two albums where Flabba showed us his incredible vocal talent and it is our honor to make this album our inaugural press.
